She really...Don't stress about the potty training! She really isn't behind, and by the time she is in preschool, she will be fine! There is no specific point in time, when a child should be potty trained, you know, like at 2 years old. There is a huge time frame, but, like I said before, most kids are trained by 4.
Some train at 2. My kids are like Ave, and want to be in their mush forever. There is nothing wrong with it!!! My little dude, only trained, because I let him pick out his potty chair on his own, and that was his motivation. Just find somthing that will motivate Ave...I told you before, I already had a potty chair, but, he hated it. So, I had to shell out another 25 bucks, but, it was the best 25 bucks I spent, almost 3 weeks ago...and they are about the same age, so, don't stress out!!! She is not behind!
Some kids walk at 9 months, and some kids walk at 18 months and both are considered normal...(OK, 9 months is early)...You cannot compare kids, at any age, to other kids their age...(((hugs)))Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10297707252098814006noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33516940.post-69452403590553724962008-04-03T07:18:00.000-05:002008-04-03T07:18:00.000-05:00I knew a girl once who was potty trained at nine m...I knew a girl once who was potty trained at nine months, could read at 2, and was already solving difficult equations in kindergarten. Now, she lives in a cave and eats squirrel.

Just kidding...I don't really know a girl like that. But I agree with you that early milestone achievement isn't a marker of potential future success. In fact, too much emphasis on getting to things super-early and before everyone else just breeds a sense of competitiveness that our society doesn't need.Janahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04608563619794630680noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33516940.post-82608298345948144042008-04-02T21:21:00.000-05:002008-04-02T21:21:00.000-05:00I can somewhat understand your aggravation with be...I can somewhat understand your aggravation with being labeled with 2 kids who are "behind". Andrew didn't walk until 3 days before he turned 18 months old. I got A LOT of looks when I told people how old he was! Of course, he was then running 2 days later...Michellehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06300596577880590685noreply@blogger.com
